An everyday backpack, patented by Allan Samson, that becomes cover when it matters most.
Allan Samson designed the DuckDown executive protection backpack and secured a USPTO patent for it. The idea is simple: protection you already carry every day, in a bag that draws no attention.
It looks like a standard backpack, but it accepts either a level IIIA ballistic panel, about 2 lb and 17.5 x 12 in, or a level III panel, about 5 lb and 17 x 11 in, with anti stab and anti spike protection. In a threat, the wearer can quickly take cover and duck down behind it. A memory foam lining helps absorb impact.
The panels are custom produced with Amulet Protective Technologies and field tested by Black Ops Security Services LLC. Launch is planned for late fall 2026, and future versions will add Faraday materials to guard against electronic threats.
